Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The humanitarian aid from the Indonesian Government to Palestine has arrived in Cairo International Airport on Thursday (4/4/2024). The aid has arrived after traveling for more than 12 hours by A330-900 Garuda Indonesia plane.
Head of National Board for Disaster Management Suharyanto symbolically has given the aid to the representative of Egypt's Health Ministry.
“We hoped that the aid could ease the burden of Palestinians in Gaza,” said Head of BNPB in the press conference on Friday (4/5/2024). He hoped that the aid could also boost the relationship between Indonesia and Egypt.
After receiving the aid, the Egypt’s Health Ministry official conveyed his gratitude and appreciation for the Indonesian Government who has shown their unwavering support for Palestine.
“Thank you to the Indonesian Government for your provision of medicines and medical equipment, for your unwavering support to the Palestinians through this conflict,” said the official.
It was reported that the total worth of the Indonesian Government to the Palestinians is around IDR 15.1 Billion. The aid consists of medicines, medical equipment, logistics, and others.
