inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Industry supports the Indonesian National Police (INP) in taking firm action against factories that reduce the volume of Minyakita packaging from what it should be, and sell the cheap oil above the highest retail price (HET).
Ministry of Industry Spokesperson Febri Hendri Antoni Arif stated that his party is paying serious attention to the findings of violations by a number of factories that produce and distribute the oil.
"This is because such practices not only harm the public as consumers, but also tarnish the government's efforts to provide cooking oil at affordable prices and guaranteed in terms of safety, quality, and food nutrition," said Spokesperson Febri on Tuesday (3/11/2025).
Spokesperson Febri said that taking action against factories and distributors who do not comply with this regulation must be an important momentum to regulate the entire Minyakita supply chain, so that the product can be sold with a packaging volume that complies with the regulations, namely 500 milliliters, 1 liter, 2 liters, and/or 5 liters at a price according to the HET.
"Currently, the HET set is IDR 15,700 per liter. Hopefully this action can make the sellers return to selling the items according to the HET as directed by President Prabowo," said Spokesperson Febri.
He said that the Minyakita product was presented to ensure the availability of cooking oil at affordable prices for the community.
Therefore, retailers are required to sell Minyakita at a price below or equal to the HET.
His party stated that it would continue to coordinate with related institutions to increase supervision of industry players who produce and distribute Minyakita.
"We will not hesitate to impose administrative sanctions up to the revocation of business licenses for factories proven to have violated the rules. This is our commitment to protect the interests of the community," explained Spokesperson Febri.
