Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) announced their ongoing coordination with the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) to track the flow of funds related to the human trafficking crimes (TPPO) in Myanmar during a press conference on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. Along the money trail, investigators will also uncover the networks involved in the case.

"We are awaiting the results of PPATK's analysis to further develop the network through the financial transactions conducted by the suspects," stated Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, the Head of Public Affairs at the INP's Public Relations Division.

As previously reported, the two individuals, AT and AD, who are suspected of TPPO, were arrested at their apartment in Bekasi. Following comprehensive searches at AD's residence and AT's apartment, investigators have gathered substantial evidence implicating their involvement in the case.

The suspects have been proven to have committed TPPO, as evidenced by the elements outlined in Article 4 of Law No. 21 of 2007 on human trafficking and/or Article 81 of Law No. 18 of 2017 on the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI), he concluded.
