Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has ordered his subordinates to prepare prevention measures for potential cyber attacks.
"We are facing vulnerable conditions regarding cyberattacks. Therefore, we must prepare for cybersecurity measures," he said on Wednesday (17/7/2024).
The police are currently drafting regulations to address cybersecurity issues. Once these regulations are in place, all police websites will undergo assessments by the Information & Communication (ICT) Committee.
In addition, the police will enhance data security infrastructure, deploying anti-DDoS devices and continuously updating their systems. These measures will be subject to regular penetration testing to ensure the effectiveness of the security systems.
"We need to conduct regular pen-tests to ensure that our security systems are robust and identify any necessary improvements," Chief Sigit explained.
