Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the Indonesia National Police Chief (Kapolri), showed his commitment to safeguard workers' rights by establishing a special task force to defend workers and prevent criminal acts against them.
"We have initiated this and will further develop it to address labor-related issues effectively," he said while overseeing security for International Labor Day at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium on Wednesday (2/5/2024).
To bolster this commitment, Chief Sigit appointed Andi Gani Nena Wea, the President of the Confederation of All Indonesian Workers' Unions (KSPSI), as the INP Chief Advisor for Labor Affairs, according to antaranews.com.
He thanked the workers for maintaining public order and recognized workers' significant contribution to Indonesia's economic growth.
Chief Sigit urged collaboration to sustain economic progress through security and public order measures.
