Densus 88 Anti-Terror Unit of Indonesian National Police (INP) has collaborated with the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) to trace the financial transactions of the suspected terrorist with the initials DE, who was arrested in Bekasi. "Beyond collaborating with the PPATK, we are also actively coordinating with other stakeholders, including online platforms, marketplaces, online trading, media platform accounts, and others," explained Police Senior Superintendent Aswin Siregar, the spokesperson for Densus 88, as reported by pmjnews on Tuesday (15/8/23). He explained that coordination with other parties was undertaken due to DE's use of counterfeit accounts to market toy weapons. "We have substantiated information that the suspect employed falsified accounts for these transactions, rather than authentic accounts bearing their genuine name and contact details. These accounts are fraudulent in nature and operated by the suspect," he stated.
