Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has stated that Indonesia has the opportunity to secure a place among the world's top five economic powers. The President's claim was made during his address at the Annual Session of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) and the Joint Session of the People's Representative Council (DPR) and the Regional Representative Council (DPD), held on the commemoration of Indonesia's 78th Independence Day at the Nusantara Building of MPR/DPR/DPD RI, Senayan on Wednesday (16/8/23). The President unveiled that this significant achievement will be realized hand in hand with the fulfillment of the "Indonesia Emas 2045" (Golden Indonesia 2045) vision. "In every instance, I have consistently conveyed that Indonesia currently possesses an immense potential. To attain the 'Indonesia Emas 2045' vision, securing a spot within the world's top 5 economic powers, it's not merely an opportunity, but rather, a meticulously devised strategy stands ready. The looming question is whether we will direct our energies towards propelling progress or squander them on unproductive, divisive concerns, or even regression," President Jokowi explained. Furthermore, the President expounded that the forthcoming demographic dividend, expected to peak in the 2030s, which presents a promising opportunity for realizing the "Indonesia Emas 2045" vision. This advantage stems from the fact that 68% of Indonesia's populace falls within the productive age range. President Jokowi also emphasized the paramount importance of international confidence as another pivotal asset driving Indonesia's journey toward the realization of this vision.
