Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)'s Anti-Football Mafia Task Force has completed its investigation into a match-fixing case during a Liga 2 match in November 2018 that implicated seven suspects.
During a press conference on Wednesday (17/1/2024), Senior Superintendent Alfis Suhaili, the Head of Sub-Directorate II at the Directorate of Cyber Crime of the INP Criminal Investigation Agency, announced the handover of the second phase of suspects and evidence to the Prosecutor's Office in Sleman, Yogyakarta.
"We are pleased to report that the investigation proceeded smoothly, and yesterday, our investigative process was declared complete by the public prosecutor," he said.
He said that the INP investigators are scheduled to travel to Sleman, Yogyakarta, to officially hand over the suspects and evidence to the public prosecutor on Thursday, antaranews.com reported.
A total of eight individuals were initially designated as suspects, with seven ultimately being handed over for prosecution as part of the completed investigation. The suspects identified are M. Reza Pahlevi, Khairuddin, Ratawi, Agus Setiawan, Dewanto Rahadmoyo Nugroho, Vigit Waluyo, and Kartiko Mustikaningtyas.
One suspect, identified as GAS, is currently a fugitive and is on the list of the wanted list.
