INP Stock Task Force Ensures Rice Supply and Distribution Secured

Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Stock Task Force of Indonesian National Police (INP) monitors and inspects rice stock in an effort to maintain price stability in the market. “For our steps in maintaining rice price in the market is by monitoring and accompanying distribution process of Stability of Food Supply and Prices (SPHP) program on rice,” says the Head Stock Task Force of INP, Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan in his written statement on Thursday (10/5/2023). According to him, his party has ensured there are no rice hoarding by irresponsible individuals. “We also inspect rice warehouses to prevent any hoardings and other irresponsible acts that could disrupts distribution process,” says the Head Task Force. He also conveys that indicative stocks of Government Rice Reserves (CBP) according to Bulog is 1.7 tons. Then, on October 4th there were 27,000 tons of rice import from Vietnam. Moreover, the National Food Agency (Bapanas) have set the highest retail price (HET), for Zone A (Java, Lampung, South Sulawesi, Sulawesi, Bali, and West Nusa Tenggara) with IDR 10,900, Zone B (Kalimantan, East Nusa Tenggara, and other parts of Sumatra) with IDR 11,500, and Zone C (Maluku, North Maluku, Papua, West Papua) with IDR 11,800. Regarding the law enforcement on rice commodity, INP Stock Task Force since January to October have processed 10 police reports with 10 suspects arrested in Banten, Bekasi, and West Java.
