The Indonesian National Police (INP)'s Traffic Corps has announced the start of "Operation Ketupat 2024," a humanitarian initiative, set to begin seven days before Eid al-Fitr. Inspector General Aan Suhanan, Chief of the INP Traffic Corps, revealed on Sunday (3/17/2024) that the operation will run for two weeks, from 4 to 16 April 2024. Prior to the commencement of Operation Ketupat, the Traffic Corps will kick off Enhanced Routine Activities (KRYD) from 28 March to 3 April 2024, both as a precautionary measure. "Our preparations include these KRYD as preventive measures," Chief Aan emphasized. The Traffic Corps has identified potential vulnerabilities during the holiday season, concentrating on toll roads, main roads, tourist destinations, and routes to crossings. Chief Aan said that strategies to address these vulnerabilities have been devised and coordinated with relevant stakeholders. (mg/ay/hn/nm)
