The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) Jakarta urged citizens to report vote-buying ahead of the election silence, scheduled from February 11 to 13, 2024 "We will continue to monitor vote-buying during the silence period," said Benny Sabdo, the Coordinator of Bawaslu Jakarta's Violation Handling Division, on Tuesday (6/2/24). He cautioned that members of political parties or candidates caught participating in vote-buying could face criminal charges. Additionally, citizens can report incidents by contacting the Bawaslu  Jakarta's WhatsApp complaint line at 0821-2312-3336. Moreover, residents in city/district areas can reach out to the Bawaslu Kepulauan Seribu Regency (0812 9256 6526), Bawaslu  Central Jakarta (0811 1901 5000), Bawaslu South Jakarta (0896 3719 7998), Bawaslu North Jakarta (0811 1001 1146), Bawaslu East Jakarta (081 769 769 90), and Bawaslu West Jakarta (0895 0963 1011). He also stressed that citizens can report any violations during the vote-counting process to polling station supervisors, stating, "Election organizers found manipulating votes can face election-related criminal charges."
