inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Provincial Government forbids the Child-Friendly Integrated Public Spaces (RPTRA)​​​​​​ to be used for political campaigns, including regional election campaigns.

“Ahead of the Regional Head Election, I want to say that RPTRA are not prohibited to be used for political campaigns. It is a different story if they were used for health activities,” says the Acting Governor of Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono on Thursday (8/15/2024).

Currently, there are 324 RPTRA across Jakarta. Programs held in RPTRA include Early Childhood Education for Toddler Families (BKB PAUD), Integrated Service Post (Posyandu), children's library, sports area, play area and children's creative activities.

Then, there are also the 10 Main Programs for Empowerment and Family Welfare (PKK), arts activities, disaster services and other community activities.

“When I go around the city, I will meet the district head and ask about this matter. I will ask about what the RPTRA used for,” says Heru.

In his closing statement, Heru also instructed the district heads to maintain the RPTRA to a good condition.
