Kapolda Metro Jaya Vows to Eradicate Drug Trafficking in Jakarta

inp.polri.go.id- Jakarta. Metro Jaya Police Chief (Kapolda Metro Jaya) Inspector General Dr. Drs. H. Mohammad Fadil Imran, M.Sc., stated that his party had identified drug dealers in Kampung Bahari, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, and they are ready to fight alongside the people of Kampung Bahari against drugs, on Saturday (12/03/2022). "We have already warned the dealers that we have identified them. I urged them to get out of there or we will wipe them all," said Kapolda Metro Jaya. Kapolda Metro Jaya explained that the residents of Kampung Bahari who used the drugs will be listed and rehabilitated. The police will also cooperate with the locals. "We will continue to collect data for the drug users and we will rehabilitate them. We also have divided the tasks between us and the community," said Kapolda Metro Jaya. Kampung Bahari will become a tough village that is free from drugs. Kampung Bahari is often known as a place, flocked with illicit drug trafficking. "We will transform this Kampung Bahari, which was known with full of drugs trafficking, into a tough village free of narcotics. The people will be healthy and have strong social resilience," stated Inspector General Dr. Drs. H. Mohammad Fadil Imran, M.Sc. Inspector General Mohammad Fadil, also wants Kampung Bahari to be transformed like Kampung Bali in Tanah Abang which is free from drugs. He hopes that there will be no more place for the drug traffickers. "I want Kampung Bahari to be clean just like Kampung Bali in Tanah Abang and Kampung Ambon. I hope there are no more places for the drug traffickers," said the two-star General of Polda Metro Jaya. Previously, the Police had also carried out drug raids in Kampung Bahari involving 700 joint personnel on Wednesday (9/3). Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Commissioner Endra Zulpan, S.I.K, M.Sc., said the raids were carried out as a form of commitment in eradicating narcotics crimes. The police found 350 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 1,500 ecstasy pills, 150 bongs from a mineral water bottle, and synthetic narcotics. Other evidence was also seized. Not only narcotics, but the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya also said 80 pieces of sharp weapons, money worth Rp. 35 million, and 22 units of two-wheeled vehicles that did not have a letter of permission were also confiscated by the police. Twenty-six suspects were arrested, consisting of 18 men and 8 women.
