Inp.polri.go.id - Mimika. The National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM) extended its appreciation to the Damai Cartenz Operation 2024 for their works in addressing incidents in Papua, especially in Intan Jaya Regency.

"We highly appreciate the Cartenz Peace Operation's commitment to upholding human rights," said Komnas HAM Commissioner Dr Uli Parulian SIhombing during a meeting with the Damai Cartenz Task Force Cartenz 2024 at the Damai Cartenz Task Force 2024 Command Post in Mimika Regency, Central Papua.

Komnas HAM acknowledged the performance of the Task Force, noting their dedication and professionalism in maintaining peace and security in Papua.

The task force has navigated various challenges with professionalism, ensuring the protection of human rights for all citizens and fostering a safe and peaceful environment in the Cartenz region, Dr. Sihombing said.

Head of the Damai Cartenz Task Force Operation 2024, Senior Superintendent Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, highlighted the Task Force's efforts in fostering good community relations and consultations with Papuan leaders, aiming for increased security posts to counter armed criminal groups. 

Superintendent Dr. Bayu Suseno, the Task Force Head of Public Relations, noted Komnas HAM's appreciation for their handling of cases involving Armed Criminal Groups (KKB) in Papua, motivating continued commitment to ensuring safety in the region.
