Local Media Chief Editor Named Illegal Mining Suspect in Bangka Belitung

Inp.polri.go.id - Pangkal Pinang. The Bangka Belitung Regional Police has named on Saturday (4/5/2024) the chief editor of a local online media as a suspect in an illegal mining at Kolong Buntu Village in Bangka regency, Bangka Belitung province.

Hardi Mardeni was named the 14th  suspect in the case after being questioned as a witness since Friday.

Senior Superintendent Jojo Sutarjo, the Bangka Belitung Police Head of Public Relations, confirmed his detention, explaining his alleged role is as a purchaser of tin sand from the mining site. 

"The suspect is now detained at the Bangka Belitung Police’s Water and Air Police detention center," he said.
