Metro Jaya Police Records 2,402 Violations During Their 14 Days Zebra Operations

Zebra Jaya Operation 2023 that has been going on for 14 days since September 18th 2023 by Metro Jaya Regional Police has list of thousands traffic violators through their electronic ticketing system, both static and mobile. This was conveyed by Metro Jaya Police Public Relations Chief, Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko in Jakarta. “Total violators that have been detected by our ticketing electronic are 2,402 violators with 2,178 of them were detected through our static electronic ticketing system while the other 224 were detected through our mobile Electronic Ticketing Law Enforcement (ETLE),” says Trunoyudo on Tuesday (10/3/2023). He adds that the current zebra operation does not involve manual ticketing, and says that other than ticketing the traffic violators, police also reprimanded other 29,652 traffic users during operation. Trunoyodo adds that the most violation in the traffic are commited by those who drive cars, with most cases are driving without wearing seatbelt with 2,012 cases. Other violations are ignoring road marks with 190 violations and 81 violations of using phone while driving. While the list of violations for two-wheel vehicles are 76 cases of exceeding speed limit, 23 cases of not wearing proper helmet, and 2 for going against traffic flow. (ad/bg/pr/nm)
