Inp.polri.go.id - Medina. Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Cholil Qoumas announced that the duty period for some members of the Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) has been reduced from 72 days to an average of 52 days.
The adjustment aims to alleviate the fatigue experienced in previous years, he said on Friday (10/5/2024) according to antaranews.com.
"The decision reflects our concern for their well-being. It's essential to address fatigue with humane solutions," Minister Yaqut said.
He explained that the change came after careful consideration and evaluations from previous years' operations. Despite the shorter duty period, Minister Yaqut assured that the service to Indonesian hajj pilgrims will remain unaffected.
"Our focus is to maintain quality service for pilgrims while ensuring the well-being of our personnel. We've devised a plan to manage the transition smoothly," he emphasized.
