Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) was expected to commence Phase 3 construction, spanning 84 kilometers from Cikarang, West Java, to Balajara, Banten, with approximately 33.7 kilometers traversing Jakarta. 

PT MRT Jakarta President Director Tuhiyat confirmed on Wednesday (17/4/2024) that construction would begin in Jakarta, with loan agreements anticipated in April 2024 and groundbreaking scheduled for August.

He emphasized that collaboration would yield a modern, world-class urban railway in Jakarta, according to antaranews.com.

The contract package (CP) 205 phase 2A with Japan's Sojitz Corporation, covering railway systems and tracks, followed an international competitive bidding process and spanned 75 months until 2029.

CP 205 encompassed substations, power distribution systems, signaling, telecommunications, SCADA, tracks, and platform screen doors, supporting operations from Bundaran HI to Kota. 

As of March 25, 2024, phase 2A construction progress stood at 33.36%, with CP 201 Thamrin—Monas at 74.02%, CP 202 Harmoni—Mangga Besar at 28.34%, and CP 203 Glodok—Kota at 49.97%.
