Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  President Joko ”Jokowi” Widodo said that the 2024 National Qur'an Recitation Competition (MTQ) XXX is a crucial platform for educating people to love the Qur'an, practicing religion humanely, and enhancing the nation's morality.

In his speech at the opening of MTQ XXX in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, on Sunday evening (8/9/2024), he said, "This event is not just about competition but also about refining our moral values, fostering unity, and contributing to our country's progress."

He congratulated the participants and hoped that their participation would help build a Qur'anic generation and advance Indonesia, according to antaranews.com.

The MTQ XXX will run until 15 September 2024, at Gelora Kadrie Oening Sempaja Stadium, Samarinda, with participants from 35 provinces competing in 12 categories, alongside an Expo, Halal Food, and the world’s first International Calligraphy Exhibition.
