Police Senior Superintendent Gidion Arif Setyawan, Chief of the North Jakarta Sub-Regional Police, declared readiness to ensure the integrity and safety of the 2024 elections, including deploying personnel during campaign stages and securing polling stations from  13 February 2024 onwards. "We will also ensure security at the polling stations starting from 13 February," he confirmed. The Jakarta General Elections Commission (KPU) had previously reminded voters to bring their electronic ID cards (e-KTP) to the polling stations on time for the smooth voting process on 14 February 2024. "Voters should bring their e-KTP and C-form notification when visiting the TPS," said Dody Wijaya, the Head of the Jakarta KPU's Technical Division. Dody stressed the importance of bringing the e-KTP as the primary requirement for voting, noting that alternative IDs like driver's licenses, passports, or family cards won't be accepted at the polling stations. He also encouraged voters to arrive punctually to optimize the voting process, stating, "Timely arrival helps manage voter flow, reducing congestion at polling stations" (ar/inp/pr/nm)
