Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. State-owned energy company PT Pertamina (Persero) has denied allegations of blending Pertalite, a type of gasoline with octane rating RON 90. with Pertamax, another type of gasoline with octane rating RON 92, assuring that all Pertamax products distributed to the public meet official specifications.
"The blending narrative does not align with the prosecutor’s statement," said Fadjar Djoko Santoso, the Vice President of Corporate Communication at Pertamina, on Tuesday (25/2/2025).
He clarified that the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) raised concerns over the purchase of RON 90 and RON 92 fuels, not blending practices. The issue involves the director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, a subsidiary of Pertamina, allegedly purchasing RON 90 while claiming it as RON 92 after unauthorized blending at storage facilities.
Despite the controversy, Fadjar emphasized that "the Pertamax distributed to the public complies with required specifications," with Lemigas, the Institute of Oil and Gas under the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, ensuring quality control.
