Fakhiri, the Chief of the Papua Regional Police, said that the Indonesian Military (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (INP) continued to work in seamless collaboration for peace in Papua. "Where there is INP, there are always TNI colleagues. We have never retreated, not even an inch, and we will remain unwavering in our commitment to ensuring the security of Papua," he said on Thursday (5/10/2023) while attending the 78th anniversary of the Indonesian Military. The Papua Police Chief said that the collaborative efforts of the Indonesian Military and INP extend beyond the realm of security, as they serve as the bedrock for dealing with groups espousing diverse ideologies to delivering peace in Papua "(Peace) is a shared endeavor, not exclusive to the responsibilities of Polri and TNI alone. Every individual on the soil of Papua should harbor the same aspiration to transform Papua into a haven of peace," he asserted. (mg/ay/hn/nm)
