Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Police implores public not to take part in any convoys during the 2024 new year eve celebration. His implore aims to secure the order amidst the 2024 New Year Eve celebration. “What we have to say on this is case is that we will safeguard public security in roads during car free night. Which is why we implore the public not to hold any convoys during the night,” says Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relations Chief, Senior Superintendent Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko on Friday (12/29/2023). According to him, convoy would disrupt the others and could potentially cause commotions in public space. “That is why in maintain public order, we pray there would be no convoys and other activities that could potentially disrupt public security and order,” implore the PR Chief. Metro Jaya Regional Police, says Trunoyudo, along with Jakarta Transportation Office have announced there would be car free night on 2024 New Year Eve in several locations. Moreover, police will tighten their security in top tourist destinations such as Ancol, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, and other destinations potentially crowded with people. The security operation will be conducted by the personnel of Lilin Jaya Operation with a total force of 4,041 personnel which will be held until January 2nd, 2024. (ad/ay/pr/nm)
