South Kalimantan Police Arrest Fredy Pratama's Drug Network in Bali and Samarinda

Inp.polri.go.id - Banjarmasin.  The South Kalimantan Regional Police has arrested  six suspects related to the international drug kingpin network, Fredy Pratama, in Bali and Samarinda, East Kalimantan, seizing a total of 8,657 grams or approximately 8.6 kilograms of crystal methampetamine. "We have arrested six suspects associated with Fredy's network, one of them is a woman," said the Director of the Drug Investigation Directorate of the South Kalimantan Police, Senior Superintendent Kelana Jaya n Friday (29/12/2023). Initially, one of the suspects, identified by his initial AL, was arrested with one packet of crystal meth in Banjarmasin.  The police later arrested  suspect SA in Banjar Regency and his female friend YH in Banjarbaru, on Wednesday. Based on the information from SA and YH, it was revealed that the smuggling of crystal meth through a courier service originated from Padang, West Sumatra, destined for Badung Regency, Bali. The team, led by the Sub-Director of Drug Investigation Directorate of the South Kalimantan Regional Police, Superintendent Meilki Bharata, flew to Bali to arrest two more suspects, identified as FE and WI, and confiscate eight packets of crystal meth weighing 4,037 grams. SA also confessed to another shipment of crystal meth from Padang to Samarinda, consisting of 15 packets of drugs weighing 4,620 grams, with the recipient SU, a resident of Jakarta, who received orders from Fredy's network. Chief Kelana said that his team continues to trace the drug distribution network associated with Fredy. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
