inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. The Investigators of Semarang Sub-regional City Police launch an investigation on the death of a college student at her boarding room, allegedly for committing suicide.

The victim was a college student majoring in the Specialist Doctor Education Program, Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University (Undip).

The Head of Semarang Sub-regional City Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Police Assistant Superintendent Andika Dharma Sena, confirms that the victim, AR, was found dead at her boarding room on Monday (8/12/2024).

“We will investigate this matter as we heard that she was ill,” said Andika on Wednesday (8/14/2024).

In his statement, he reveals that the boarding room was locked when people were trying to get in. On the other hand, according to the gathered information, AR passed away after he injected herself with unknown medicine.

AR allegedly to end her life after she was bullied in her college.

Regarding the bullying, Andika says that the police will look into it to its roots. “We will see to it to confirm whether it's true or not,” concluded Andika.
