inp.polri.go.id - Bima. The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police Mobile Brigade SAR Team moved quickly to help the people affected by flooding due to heavy rain that has poured over the Bima since Sunday

The downpour in Bima has caused flooding that damaged infrastructure, including the main bridge in Tololai Hamlet, Mawu Village, Ambalawi District. As a result, access to the provincial road across Wera District-Bima City was completely closed.

People were isolated because there was no access to the other side. In light of this situation the Mobile Brigade SAR Team, together with the people, worked together to create a temporary alternative route.

The Commander of the NTB Regional Police Mobile Brigade Unit, Senior Superintendent Komaruz Zaman, emphasized that the aid from his unit demonstrates police attention and care for the community, especially in a disaster situation.

"We have deployed SAR personnel since the beginning of the flood in several areas in Bima to help the people," said Senior Superintendent Komaruz Zaman on Monday (2/3/2025).

Komaruz Zaman adds that not only was the bridge broken, the flood also harmed a number of residents' houses and several others were reported missing.

"Personnel are also still continuing the patrol, searching the area while moving the flood materials away. Hopefully our presence can be a help for the people here," concluded Komaruz Zaman.
