Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Indonesian National Police (INP) has been prepared to secure traffic flow and tourist destinations during the long holidays coinciding with the Isra Mi'raj commemoration on 8 February 2024 and the Chinese New Year on 10 February 2024. Isra Mi'raj is an event in Islamic tradition that commemorates the night journey of the Prophet Muhammad from Mecca to Jerusalem and his ascension to heaven. Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, the Head of the Public Information Bureau of the INP Public Relations Division, said that increased mobility was expected at airports, seaports, train stations, highways, and tourist attractions during the long holiday, antaranews.com reported. "To anticipate this, the police have prepared security measures to ensure the smooth mobility of the community," he said on Wednesday (7/2/2024). The general said that the police are anticipating potential traffic congestion due to increased vehicle volume on several toll road sections prone to congestion. To address potential congestion on Cikampek toll road, the police have prepared traffic engineering measures such as situational contraflow systems from KM 47 West Karawang to KM 87 Subang from 7,8 and 9 February  2024  toward Central Java, and  KM 87 Subang to KM 47 Karawang Barat from 10 and 11 February 2024 toward Jakarta. Furthermore, he said, the police are also anticipating disruptions to public order and security as well as possible natural disasters due to high ranfiall in some regions by increasing patrols and personnel readiness in various areas.
