The police revealed that they have raided the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) Headquarters within the jurisdiction of the XVI Yahukimo Regional Command led by Kopi Tua Heluka on Tuesday (1/8/23). The raid was a response to the group's attack on the Brimob Paradiso post took place on Monday (31/7/23), said the Chief of Damai Cartenz Operations Task Force Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani. The raid was executed discreetly behind the Yahukimo Regent's Office, a strategic site chosen for its tactical advantage, he said. Among the confiscated items was a cache of weaponry, including 5 homemade long firearms and 1 homemade short firearm, alongside a substantial supply of ammunition, including 4 rounds of standard ammunition, 3 rounds of 5.56mm caliber ammunition, and 1 round of 7.62mm caliber ammunition. The police has also confiscated an array of weaponry and other items belonging to the group, including 4 bows, 60 arrows, 6 camouflage pants, 1 red and green pants, 1 blue and yellow pant, 1 yellow and black pants, 1 black and green pants, 1 red and black shirt, 1 backpack, 1 camouflage pants, 1 red and yellow pants, 1 green camouflage pants, 2 camouflage shirts, 1 black long pants, 1 blue and white sarong, 1 gray t-shirt, 1 short-sleeved blue-purple sweater, 6 machetes, 1 axe, 2 yellow machete sheaths, 1 gradient-patterned bag, 1 Weircom brand walkie-talkie, 1 red-colored mobile phone, 1 vayuan brand razor, 2 motorcycle keys, 1 white and blue koflo, 2 iron bow sights, 2 iron files, 1 pair of pliers, 1 L-key, 1 white, blue, and black noken, 1 black koplo-style hat, 1 flashlight, and 2 mobile phones. "KKB member with the initials AS and a number of evidence have been taken to the Yahukimo Sub-Regional Police for further examination and identification process," he concluded. (ay/pr/um)
