Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) reports that as of early 2023 to now, there are 1,988 online gambling cases that have been successfully disclosed.

The Head of INP Public Information, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko says that from the cases handled by the authorities, the jackpot betting are the most commonly found.

“Every person who deposits the bet would acquire a bonus point for gambling,” said Trunoyudo on Monday (4/29/2024).

Moreover, he states that online gambling also lures its victims by promoting a quick money withdrawal process. Suspects also contacted influencers to promote their backlink to boost their rating while also promoting their sites.

“As of now, there are 3,415 suspects that have been arrested,” conclude Trunoyudo.
