inp.polri.go.id - Members of the National Police and the Army, along with local residents, worked together to build a bridge that connects Banjar Bengang with Banjar Sekaan, Peninjauan Village, Tembuku District, Bangli Regency, Bali Province, Saturday, after the bridge was destroyed by floods last week.
Tembuku Police Chief, AKP I Putu Gede Ardana, said Tembuku Police personnel, along with Military District Commander of Tembuku, Captain Indantri I Ketut Suparwan, Peninjoan village head, I Putu Joantara, and the Banjar Bengang community, with a total of approximately 50 people, jointly build an emergency bridge. The bridge that connects the two Banjars was eroded by water during last week's rain.
“The construction of the bridge is using bamboo sticks, obtained from around the location. Currently we are working together to find solutions by making alternative roads that can be passed by pedestrians and motorbikes, making it easier for people to access the road, especially transporting agricultural and plantation products to be brought to the city, "he explained.
At the same occasion, Captain I Ketut said that the participation of the Army in building this bridge was an effort to maintain food security because the bridge is the main access for social mobility as well as the transportation route for local people's agricultural products.
Meanwhile, the village head of Peninjoan I Putu Joantara expressed his gratitude to the Police and Army officers who were quick to respond in helping reconstruct the broken bridge.
