inp.polri.go.id - Lampung. Lampung Regional Police will boost the supervision on food and beverages circulating in the market in order to maintain food safety during the holy month of Ramadan.

The police are working together with the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM) and the Health Service to ensure that the products sold are safe for consumption.

Head of Public Relations of Lampung Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Yuni Iswandari Yuyun, emphasized that strict supervision is carried out to protect the public from the risk of consuming unfit food.

"We urge the public to be more careful in choosing food and beverages, especially those sold on the roadside. Make sure the products purchased have an official distribution permit and have not passed their expiration date," she said on Thursday (3/6/2025).

In addition to conducting direct supervision, the Lampung Regional Police also conduct routine patrols and raids on food suspected of containing hazardous materials.

"We will not hesitate to take action against unscrupulous traders who deliberately sell hazardous food for personal gain. This is for the safety and health of the community," she explained.

Yuni also invited the public to play an active role in this supervision. If they find suspicious food or drinks, the public is urged to immediately report it to the authorities.

"Cooperation between the community, police, BPOM, and the Health Office is very important in creating a safe and healthy environment during Ramadan," Yuni closed.
