Inp.polri.go.id - Jambi. The Jambi Regional Police have identified two students as suspects in the assault at Raudhatul Mujawwidin Islamic Boarding School in Tebo Regency, Jambi.
The suspects, minors with legal complications, are under investigation.
Director of the Criminal Investigation Bureau of the Jambi Police, Senior Superintendent Andri Ananta Yudhistira, said on Saturday (23/3/2024) that efforts to uncover the truth have been ongoing since the incident was reported on 17 November 2023.
The assault, triggered by resentment over a Rp10,000 debt repayment demand, resulted in the death of a 13-year-old student named AH.
With testimonies from 54 witnesses, including school staff and medical professionals, the investigation continued.
Tebo Sub-regional Police Chief Superintendent I Wayan Arta Ariawan acknowledged the school's cooperation in the investigation.
