President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has strongly condemned the atrocities inflicted upon Palestinian civilians in Gaza and West Bank, categorizing these acts as a serious violation of both international law and fundamental humanitarian principles. "Indonesia is committed to supporting Palestine optimally and concretely. The ongoing violence must be halted immediately, and the forced displacement of civilians must cease. The humanitarian principles must be immediately upheld," said President Jokowi during his meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the sidelines of the Extraordinary Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit on Saturday (11/11/23). President Jokowi strongly condemned Israel's acts of cruelty against Palestine, emphasizing that no justification could legitimize mass murder or the forced displacement of Palestinians from their homeland. He reaffirmed Indonesia's steadfast commitment to providing substantial and concrete support to Palestine. In response, President Abbas acknowledged Indonesia as a consistent supporter of the Palestinian people's struggle, expressing profound appreciation for this enduring commitment.
