inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Immigration and Corrections (Imipas) Agus Andrianto said that his ministry will add immigration administration requirements by requiring the attachment of account mutation requirements for the past year to prevent the Crime of Human Trafficking (TPPO).
He said the requirement is planned to be implemented in areas that have the potential for human trafficking. According to him, the requirement will be implemented to prevent those who claim to want to travel abroad, but turn out to be working abroad.
"We look at the account mutations and see whether it is reasonable or not for the person concerned to travel or do other activities abroad. If there is only around IDR 100,000 to IDR 500,000 in the account, then it would be impossible for them to go on vacation," said the Minister of Agus on Tuesday (5/11/2024).
According to him, the ministry has also inaugurated 146 village immigration officers who are assigned to areas with the potential for Human Trafficking Crimes and Human Smuggling Crimes.
In addition, other than tightening the immigration requirement in vulnerable regions, the village immigration officers are also tasked to educate the people about the method commonly used by Human Trafficking and Human Smuggling perpetrators.
