Inp.polri.go.id - Pekanbaru. In a month-long operation, Riau Regional Police disposed of 88.6 kilograms of methamphetamine and 2,401 ecstasy pills.

Riau Police Chief Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal stressed on Friday (26/4/2024) the importance of swift disposal to prevent misuse. 

The illegal substances were melted and mixed with a cleaning solution, as reported by antaranews.com

Chief Iqbal emphasized ongoing law enforcement and prevention efforts, urging coordination with stakeholders and communities. 

The drugs were seized from 17 suspects, including a major supplier in Pekanbaru. 

Riau Police had seized 107 kilograms of meth, 214 grams of marijuana, and 2,736 ecstasy pills, uncovering the entire drug network.
