Second Police Brigadier Fahri Samsudin Made Great Achievement in Madura Strait Swimming Contest

Second Police Brigadier Fahri Samsudin, member of South Sumatra Regional Police Marine and Air Directorate, made a great achievement in the swimming competition of the 62nd Anniversary of Komando Pasukan Katak (Kopaska) of Indonesian Navy in Surabaya. Fahri was the first nine of the 935 participants to touch the finish line in swimming across the 3.6 kilometers Madura Strait on Sunday (2/25/2024). Fahri able to finish in the top ten of the competition with his best record of 38 minutes and 30 seconds. The South Sumatra Regional Police Marine and Air Police Director, Senior Superintendent Andreas Kusmaedi says that every event held either by the Indonesian Military Force (TNI), Indonesian National Police (INP), and public, his party always received an invitation to participate in the tournament. And for the tournament in Madura Strait, his party sent a team of six personnel. “We do have a swimmer and Fahri is indeed one of our best. After receiving the instruction from the police chief, we prepared our athletes to be trained under Police Senior Inspector Karnadi. And thankfully, we got satisfying results as we are able to finish in the ninth place from the hundreds of people participating in the contest, we consider it as a great achievement,” said Andreas.
