Inp.polri.go.id - Palembang. South Sumatra Regional Police Chief Inspector General A. Rachmad Wibowo inspected the forest and land fire equipment at the South Sumatra Police headquarter’s logistics warehouse in Palembang on Wednesday (24/7/2024) to anticipate the peak of the dry season expected in August 2024.

He reviewed the condition of firefighting equipment, including fire extinguishers, water sprayers, and other support gear. These tools are crucial for the task force assigned to prevent and address fires in the province's 17 districts and cities, according to antaranews.com.

“I remind all personnel to maintain the equipment well so it is ready to assist the community and local government in managing the forest and land fires,” Chief Rachmad said.

He stressed that equipment must always be operational, highlighting that speed and preparation are key in combating fires.
