inp.polri.go.id - Aceh. Aceh Regional Police Chief Inspector General Dr. Achmad Kartiko attended the destruction of state-owned assets (BMN) resulting from customs and excise enforcement actions, which took place at the Aceh Regional Office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

The event was held as a form of synergy between law enforcement officers and relevant agencies in enforcing laws and regulations and maintaining national economic stability.

Aceh Regional Police Public Relations Chief Senior Superintendent Joko Krisdiyanto explained that the destroyed items were the result of preventive actions taken by the Aceh DJBC Regional Office during 2024. All of these items have been designated as state property, and the destruction process was carried out with the approval of the Minister of Finance through the Head of the Banda Aceh State Assets and Auction Service Office (KPKNL).

"The goods destroyed were 248,668 illegal cigarettes with a value of over IDR 365 million. These cigarettes did not meet excise regulations and were the result of enforcement actions carried out through land and sea patrols by the Customs and Excise team in Aceh Province," said Joko in a press release after the destruction.

According to him, this destruction represents a concrete step in supporting transparency and accountability in the management of seized goods, as well as a shared commitment to protecting the public from the circulation of illegal cigarettes, which is detrimental to the state.

"The Indonesian National Police, particularly the Aceh Regional Police, continues to fully support efforts to eradicate the circulation of illegal goods to maintain public order and security and secure state revenues," he said.
