Inp.polri.go.id – Papua. The body of Second Police Brigadier Oktovianus Buara, the victim of assault by unknown people in Yahukimo, has been flown to Jayapura on Tuesday April 16th, 2024.

Papua Regional Police PR Chief, Senior Superintendent Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo says the body has arrived around 15.36 pm local time using Trigana Air IL 222 from Yahukimo.

Benny further says that the body was flown to his home in Nafri Village, Jayapura City. The family of Oktovianus Buara planned to bury their loved one in Bonggor District, Sarmi Regency, Papua.

“The funeral will be on Wednesday in Bonggo District, Sarmi Regency,” said Benny on Tuesday (4/16/2024) night.

Previously, Oktavianus was attacked by unknown people not far from Yahukimo Sub-regional Police HQ on Tuesday morning. Police found stab wounds all over Oktavianus body.

During the initial investigation, police secured three people around the criminal location, they are UH (18), ARH (19), and RW (21).
