Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Coordinating Minister of Economic, Airlangga Hartanto emphasized the government will not increase the fuel price, at least until June 2024.

The statement was issued after the Iran-Israel conflict ensued. The conflict potentially would disrupt the oil supply and sky rocketed the world oil price.

“We won’t increase the fuel price until June, that is the government stance,“ says Airlangga on Tuesday.

On the other hand, Airlangga still acknowledges that the conflict occurred near Hormuz Strait. The strait has become one of the important roads for logistic shipping. In response to this, the government will continue to watch over the conflict and will consider every possible scenario, one of which is adjusting the subsidy for fuel.

However, the government still is not yet at that moment, Airlangga says the government will not react too excessively towards the current geopolitical conflict.
