Seven members of the National Police who were named as suspects are Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan, Commissioner Agus Nurpatria, AKBP Arif Raman Arifin, Commissioner Chuck Putranto (already fired), Commissioner Baiqui Wibowo (already fired), AKP Irfan Widyanto, and Inspector General Ferdy Sambo (already fired). The Head of the National Police Public Relations Division, Inspector General of Police Dedi Prasetyo, said on Thursday (1/9/2022) that six suspects, apart from Ferdy Sambo, played a role in destroying evidence such as cellphones, CCTV, and adding evidence at the crime scene. Those suspects of obstruction of justice were charged with Article 32 and Article 33 of the ITE Law. They were also charged with Article 221, Article 223 of the Criminal Code, Article 55, and Article 56 of the Criminal Code. They were also charged with Article 221 of the Criminal Code.
