Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The police have announced a significant 6.65% reduction in the crime rate for Tuesday, August 1, 2023, effectively managing 141 criminal incidents on that day.
Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, the Head of the Public Affairs Bureau at the Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police (INP), highlighted the focus on addressing cases of aggravated theft (Curat), which accounted for the highest number of incidents at 179, 138 cases involving narcotics, 67 incidents of motorbike theft (Curanmor), 8 gambling-related cases, and 18 instances of robbery with violence (Curas).
Furthermore, he revealed that there were a total of 501 traffic accidents, reflecting an 8,58% decrease compared to the previous day.
"The number of accidents recorded on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, reached a total of 501 incidents," he said on Wednesday (2/8/23).
He added that out of the 501 incidents, 49 led to fatalities, 53 resulted in severe injuries, and 485 resulted in minor injuries.
