The West Java Regional Police appreciates peaceful demonstrations in front of the West Java parliament building for the Regional Head Election Bill revision on Monday (8/26/2024). He notes that the demonstrators only gave speeches to convey their opinions and simultaneously threw trash into the parliament Building, as a form of their disappointment over the planned revision of the Regional Head Election Bill which aims to ignore the Constitutional Court's ruling.
“We appreciate and thank the people of West Java who have conveyed their concern peacefully,” says the Head of West Java Regional Police Public Relations Division, Senior Superintendent Jules Abraham Abast on Tuesday (8/27/2024).
He conveyed that his party continue to implore all public elements who wants to convey their protest in public, to relay it in peace.
“Appeal for all people of West Java to convey their aspiration in peace and to maintain the peaceful and secure situation,” implore Jules.
Jules adds that the situation in West Java remains peaceful while members of the police still on guard.
