The Indonesian National Police's (INP) performance in combating human trafficking through its Task Force for Combating Human Trafficking Crimes (Satgas TPPO) led by Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has received a satisfaction rate of 86,1%, as revealed by a survey conducted by the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) among 1.220 respondents.
Djayadi Hanan, the Executive Director of LSI, highlighted that among the survey's respondents, 35% were acquainted with a TPPO case involving the illegal trade of kidneys by Indonesian nationals in Cambodia. Among these well-informed respondents, a significant 86,1% conveyed their approval of the INP's actions.
"This is an issue that public values and supports," he said on Wednesday (8/30/23).
Furthermore, he furnished a comprehensive breakdown of the respondents' satisfaction levels, revealing that 18,7% were very satisfied, while a considerable 67,4% expressed themselves as quite satisfied. A smaller portion, 9,6%, reported being somewhat dissatisfied, and a mere 1,5% expressed total dissatisfaction. A minor fraction of 2,8% refrained from offering any response.
The extensive survey, conducted from August 3 to 9, 2023, encompassed the entirety of Indonesian citizens with voting rights in general elections. Eligible participants were aged 17, or older, or married at the time of the survey. A random sample of 1.220 respondents was selected from this population using multistage random sampling. The survey maintains a commendable margin of error of +/- 2.9% and a confidence level of 95%.
