Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian asked for the acceleration of local harvest corn drying so that it could be immediately sent to the farmers. This would also stabilize the animal food prize.

“The thing is, how we can farm the corn harvest and dry it fast so that we can distribute it immediately,” said Tito on Monday (4/29/2024).

During the Regional Inflation Control Meeting in Jakarta, Tito says that although the great harvest is on going, the fact is corn is still the local farm that cannot be harvested yet.

This impacted the corn use for the animal as farmers still rely on imported products. The imported corn that serves as food reserves are better to be used as they are already dried.

At the end of the occasion, Minister Tito remarks that the egg and chicken meat price are dependent on the animal food. “If we can accelerate the drying of the local corn, the price of the two commodities can be controlled,” said Tito.
