Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar.  Anandira Puspita, a dentist and the wife of an Indonesian Military (TNI) soldier, was named a suspect by Bali Regional Police for alleged ITE Law violations.

Contrary to viral social media information, her arrest was not linked to her reports of her husband's infidelity but for allegedly sharing personal data without permission on social media, according to Bali Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Jansen Avitus Panjaitan on Monday (15/4/2024).

He clarified that the infidelity case is handled separately at the Udayana Regional Command Police, where her husband, First Lieutenant Dr. Malik Hanro Agam, also a dentist, works.

Denpasar Police detained Anandira after her questioning in the case of transmission of electronic data without consent.

Her arrest followed a January report by a man identified as Ahmad Ramzy Ba'abud .

Denpasar City Sub-regional Police Chief ,Senior Superintendent Wisnu Prabowo, denied a forced arrest, saying it was interrupted due to her child's presence.

Initially refusing arrest on 4 April 2024, Anandira's detention was canceled as she needed to breastfeed her toddler.

Following a summons on 5 April 2024, she appeared for questioning and was subsequently placed under house arrest at Bali Provincial PPA UPTD Safe House.

Denpasar Police suspended her detention upon her family's request.
