Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) Chief Rahmat Bagja conveys that his party continues to coordinate with Indonesian National Police (INP) Cyber Crimes unit in uncovering the 2024 General Election Voter’s List data leak from the General Election Commission (KPU) system. “We are still continuing our coordination with our colleagues who have the cappabilites in uncovering the case. We are still working on to find out from where the leak was, was it really from KPU system, or was it from Department of Population and Civil Registration, we still don’t know and working on it,” states Rahmat. Bawaslu has also pushed KPU to speak to the public regarding the data leak. Rahmat party assessed KPU statement on the case will further proves that the institution are taking the case seriously and would uncover the case to its root. “For now, we will wait. I am sure our colleagues from KPU would soon provide some clearance as it would possibly goes wild if we postpone it much further,” explains Rahmat. (ad/rz/pr/nm)
