Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo has assured the public of the availability, reliability, and security of the Indonesian Bank Payment System (SPBI) during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr holiday. "Bank Indonesia remains committed to guaranteeing the SPBI's availability, reliability, and security, including monitoring participant systems to maintain smooth payment transactions throughout Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr," he said on Wednesday (20/3/2024). During the March 2024 Bank Indonesia Governor's Meeting, Governor Perry emphasized Bank Indonesia's ongoing efforts to ensure sufficient quantities of high-quality Indonesian rupiah across the country, even during the holiday period. To meet the demand for currency exchange during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr in 2024, the central bank has prepared Rp197.6 trillion in legal tender currency (ULE), marking a 4.65% increase from 2023's Rp188.8 trillion, as reported by antaranews.com This increase reflected both the heightened economic activity during the holiday season and the growing public mobility. Governor Perry also highlighted the stability of payment system infrastructure and its expanding digital ecosystem, which facilitate seamless transactions.
