inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) develops strategic planning to prevent cyber attack during the 79th Indonesian Independence Day Ceremony in Nusantara Capital City (IKN).

“We have made various efforts to guarantee digital space security during the event,” said the spokesperson of BSSN Ariandi Putra on Tuesday (8/13/2024).

Ariandi explains that every year BSSN always provides information to the public about cyber attack potentials. In 2024, BSSN saw several threats in the digital space such as online scams for private or family data, data inscription attack, server attack, and others.

“Therefore, we implore all electronic system providers to strengthen your security system,” implore Ariandi.

BSSN also guards the digital space to ensure domestic and international events are free from cyber attacks.

“Although there are attempts, we are always able to prevent them, thanks to our collaboration with all stakeholders from the ministries and institutions,” explains Ariandi.

In securing the 79th Indonesian Independence Day, BSSN has formed internal task forces, which are Cyber Operation Task Force, Information Control Task Force, Crypto Operation Task Force, and Public Communication Task Force.

“These task forces are responsible to provide information and literacy to the public and coordinate with related stakeholders such as the Communication and Information Ministry, Indonesian National Military, Indonesian National Police, State Intelligence Agency, and others,” says Ariandi.

Ariandi says that the coordination includes securing electronic assets used for domestic events.

Furthermore, he underscores the importance of collaboration between BSSN and various parties to guarantee cyber security. All electronic systems involved for the domestic and international events are in the BSSN database.
