inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Communication and Information Minister Budi Arie Setiadi says that his party has closed the internet access from Cambodia and Philippines. The step was taken to handle the issue of online gambling that mostly came from the two countries.

“On June 17th, we have decided to close the network access provider from Cambodia and Davao to Indonesia,” says Minister Budi Arie on Thursday (7/25/2024).

Minister Budi aims not to close more internet access from other countries. As of now, Indonesia will only close the internet access from these two countries. He and his party will continue to evaluate the decision.

“Hopefully not. If we do, then what are the countries? At least for now we will start from these two countries while we analyze other countries. We will continue the evaluation,” conclude Minister Budi.
